Etsy Angels Helping "The Friendly Kitchen" For January

During January 2010, the Etsy Angels pull together to help raise money for the Friendly Kitchen of Concord, New Hampshire. This months charity was one of Carrie from TigerLily Studio choices.

A little about the Friendly Kitchen:

The Friendly Kitchen of Concord, NH seeks to provide a warm, homey place for our guests to enjoy a great meal, conversation with companions, and shelter from the New Hampshire weather. Most of the food served is donated by individuals, food drives, area businesses, the NH Food Bank, the Capital Region Food Program, and the Community Action Program. Donations of cash from individuals and foundations help us meet our overhead costs of more than $4,500 per month.

Since serving the first four meals in 1980, The Friendly Kitchen has grown tremendously. During 2008, more than 30,671 individuals were served a total of 49,440 meals. For the first six months of 2009, more than 15,700 individuals were served a total of 32,600 meals.
